Blackwater vs Greywater Pump Station Packages

While all our tanks are compatible with either type of wastewater, the pump selection is critical, as the liquid being pumped differs significantly between blackwater and greywater systems.

  • Blackwater: Wastewater that contains human waste, typically from toilets. This type of wastewater includes soft solids which requires pumps capable enough, such as cutter or grinder pumps.
  • Greywater: Wastewater from sinks, showers, washing machines, and other non-toilet sources. This water typically contains minimal solids and is best managed using drainage or vortex pumps.

 

Recommended Pump Stations for Blackwater Applications

For blackwater applications, we recommend our most popular PSG50-150W single-phase grinder, single pump, pump station, which includes a non-trafficable poly cover. A high-level alarm is not included but is recommended.

PS05 PSG50-150W Single Pump Station

This system is designed for light-medium residential blackwater applications, ensuring reliable wastewater removal.

For greywater applications, the most popular and our suggested option is the PSD32-55 single drainage pump, pump station, which includes a 600 mm x 600 mm Class B Galv Grate. A high-level alarm is not included but is recommended.
